But When we can identify what is happening we can work on overcoming it.. and sometimes the best tool we have is time!

Too often, providers say things like “You can only try for a VBAC if you agree to an epidural” — but that’s simply not true.

✨ Choosing a VBAC does not mean giving up your autonomy. You STILL have the right to make informed decisions about your body, your birth, and your pain management — including saying no to an epidural if that’s not what you want.

💛 PSA to every new mom: It’s okay to set boundaries — and it’s okay to enforce them. 💛

The newborn phase is tender, raw, and all about you and your baby. You do not owe anyone access to your space, your time, or your baby if they can’t respect the boundaries you’ve set.

✨ It’s okay to say no to visitors.
✨ It’s okay to ask people to wash their hands.
✨ It’s okay to say you’re not up for company.
✨ It’s okay to protect your peace.

And if someone pushes back, disrespects, or makes you feel guilty? It’s okay to distance yourself.
Because your job right now is to heal, bond, and figure out this whole motherhood thing — not to manage everyone else’s feelings.
